NGS Super rolls out enhanced member advice services with a focus on accessibility
In a significant move to make financial advice more accessible, NGS Super has unveiled an enhanced suite of member advice services, featuring a new digital advice platform. This initiative aims to bridge the gap for members seeking quality financial guidance without incurring hefty costs, a common deterrent for many Australians.
A new era of financial guidance
The revamped model is a part of NGS Super’s strategic focus on personalised service, offering a more straightforward pathway to financial advice. This approach integrates digital tools, phone-based consultations, and comprehensive financial planning into a cohesive experience tailored to support members at crucial financial junctures.
Central to this launch is the new NGS Virtual Adviser tool and a series of self-directed educational modules, which are accessible to both members and non-members via the NGS Super website. These resources are designed to provide personalised superannuation advice and comprehensive financial planning solutions.
Meeting the demand for accessible advice
NGS Super CEO Natalie Previtera highlighted the motivation behind the enhanced services, stating, “Our members are telling us they want help making financial decisions without the complexity or cost barrier.” She emphasised the organisation’s commitment to rewarding member loyalty by making quality advice more accessible. “Accessing the right advice and guidance can make a meaningful difference to your retirement no matter what your balance or life stage. We know that when members receive advice, they feel more confident and more in control of their financial future," Ms Previtera added.
Digital advice experience redefined
A standout feature of the new offering is the NGS Virtual Adviser, developed in collaboration with Guideway Financial Services. This tool is designed to simplify navigation through superannuation topics and offer personalised guidance, while also providing access to qualified financial advisers when necessary. Key topics covered include contributions, investment choices, insurance, and retirement planning.

Guideway’s CEO, Alex Aracas, commented on the significance of this development, saying, “By combining intuitive digital guidance with clear pathways to self-service, Super Specialists or licensed financial planners, NGS Super is making high‑quality advice more accessible, more timely and better matched to members’ needs at different life stages.”
The NGS Advice Essentials service remains a cornerstone of the offering, providing introductory personal advice at no extra cost to members. This service is delivered by licensed financial advisers and is available through various channels, including phone, video, and the new digital adviser tool.
Expanded services for comprehensive support
The launch also introduces NGS Advice Essentials Plus, an extension of the existing service that offers more detailed advice on topics such as superannuation consolidation and transitioning into retirement. This low-cost service is delivered by phone advisers, further expanding the accessibility of financial guidance.
For members requiring support beyond superannuation, NGS Super continues to offer NGS Advice Platinum. This service is delivered by in-house licensed financial planners and provides tailored advice across a broad spectrum of financial matters.
Darryn Studdert, Executive Manager of Advice and Education at NGS Super, elaborated on the importance of these updates, stating, “Members now have more ways to engage, clearer pathways into advice, and access to high-quality support well before they reach major retirement milestones. For some, that may be digital guidance or a simple conversation at no additional cost. For others, it may be more detailed advice or comprehensive financial planning. What matters is that every member can access the right level of support, at the right time, in a way that works for them.”
With these new services now available, NGS Super is poised to redefine the landscape of financial advice, ensuring that high-quality support is within reach for all its members, regardless of their financial stage or balance. This initiative underscores NGS Super’s commitment to enhancing member experience and empowering Australians to make informed financial decisions.
