Future Generation Global boosts dividends with special payout, marking significant yield increase
Future Generation Global (ASX: FGG) has announced a significant boost to its dividend offerings for the year 2025, delighting shareholders with an increased fully franked full-year dividend and an additional special dividend. This development underscores the company’s robust financial health and commitment to delivering value to its investors.
The FGG board has declared a 49% increase in dividends payable for 2025. The final dividend has been set at 4.0 cents per share, culminating in a total full-year dividend of 8.0 cents per share. In addition, shareholders will benefit from a special fully franked dividend of 3.0 cents per share. This move elevates the fully franked dividend yield to 7.3%, with a grossed-up dividend yield reaching an impressive 10.4%, a figure notably surpassing the current global equity market yield.
Jennifer Westacott AC, Chair of FGG, highlighted the company’s consistent track record in enhancing shareholder value. “Future Generation Global has increased its dividend every year for the past seven years. The increased fully franked full year dividend of 8.0 cents per share and the special fully franked dividend of 3.0 cents per share demonstrates the sustainability of the Company’s structure and its strong financial position, while recognising the strong investment performance delivered to shareholders over the past three years,” she stated.
The company’s performance over the past three years has been exemplary, with its professionally constructed portfolio achieving an investment performance of 18.1% per annum. This impressive return is attributed to the portfolio's design, which offers solid investment returns while mitigating concentration risk and volatility. Such performance has positioned FGG as a leader in delivering consistent and superior returns to its investors.
Westacott further elaborated on the strategic approach that has underpinned FGG’s success. “Our investment strategy focuses on diversification and risk management, ensuring that we deliver stable and high returns to our shareholders. This approach has been instrumental in achieving the remarkable 18.1% annual return over the past three years,” she explained.

The announcement of the increased dividends and special payout comes at a time when many investors are seeking stability and reliable returns amid global economic uncertainties. FGG’s commitment to enhancing shareholder value through increased dividends is likely to bolster investor confidence and attract more interest in its shares.
Market analysts have responded positively to FGG’s announcement, noting that the increased yield is a testament to the company’s strong financial management and strategic foresight. The fully franked nature of the dividends also provides significant tax advantages to Australian shareholders, further enhancing the attractiveness of FGG’s shares.
The special dividend, in particular, has been seen as a strategic move to reward long-term shareholders while also demonstrating the company’s robust cash flow and financial health. By offering a special dividend, FGG is signalling its confidence in sustaining strong financial performance in the future.
FGG’s ability to consistently increase its dividends over the years reflects its commitment to delivering long-term value to its investors. This latest announcement is expected to reinforce its reputation as a reliable and high-performing investment option in the Australian stock market.
As the company continues to build on its strong investment performance, shareholders can expect ongoing benefits from FGG’s strategic focus on delivering superior returns. The increased dividends and special payout are not only a reflection of past successes but also an indication of the company’s confidence in its future prospects.
In summary, Future Generation Global’s announcement of an increased dividend and special payout marks a significant milestone in its journey of delivering exceptional value to its investors. With a strong track record and strategic focus on sustainable growth, FGG is well-positioned to continue providing attractive returns in the years to come.
