‘It’s back’: SA unveils second Great State Voucher
South Australian residences or those planning to travel to the state could save up to $150 as the government continues its support for the local tourism sector.

Under the latest cash splash, starting Tuesday, 5 January, the South Australian government has announced the second “Great State Voucher” which will give travellers a $100 voucher to use at Adelaide City and North Adelaide accommodation, and a $50 voucher for suburban and regional South Australia.
A separate allocation of vouchers for interstaters is aimed at incentivising travellers from out of the state to spend their money in South Australia.
Premier Steven Marshall on Tuesday urged South Australians and Australians to get online for their chance to access some of the best accommodation deals, including the soon-to-open Majestic M-Suites in North Adelaide.
“With over 300 places to stay across the state, offering some of the best deals at the best time of year to travel, South Australians and interstaters have never had a better reason to book a stay in SA,” Mr Marshall said.

“The first round of vouchers injected $10 million into our state’s economy, with the tens of thousands of discounted room night bookings giving people more time and more money to spend on experiences like the Naracoorte Caves, Granite Island Tram or the Adelaide Zoo.
“With an additional round expanded to include interstate travellers, who we know spend more than intrastate, as well as the peak summer holiday period and events like the Santos Festival of Cycling and WOMADelaide, this stimulus comes at exactly the right time to further bolster tourism businesses and create jobs.”
Those who manage to secure the vouchers can book with the voucher from 7-31 January for travel from 7 January to 31 March 2021. However, Saturday night bookings are excluded from the vouchers.
The latest stimulus announcement by the South Australian government is set to cost the state around $2 million.
