Morrison Securities unveils plug-and-play global trading access to 15 countries
Equities clearing firm Morrison Securities has partnered with trading technology provider ViewTrade to introduce one of Australia's first plug-and-play global trading solutions, enabling streamlined access to 15 international markets.

The new system will allow Morrison’s more than 38,000 active clients, who transact $30 billion annually, to complete a single Know Your Customer (KYC) process, granting them swift access to global markets.
The offering expands Morrison’s capabilities to include global equity and options trading, fixed income, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and the integration of domestic and international trading. Clients will also have the option to operate under fully disclosed or omnibus models.
ViewTrade estimates that the widespread adoption of similar solutions across Australia’s trading industry could deliver efficiencies worth approximately $240 million annually.
Nigel Singh, CEO of ViewTrade, described the initiative as transformative for Australian investors. "We are excited to work with Morrison Securities. Together, we are unlocking a world of investment opportunities for Australians," he said. "By accessing global markets, firms can offer their clients more diversified portfolios, reducing risk and protecting wealth. This benefits both domestic and international clients. We invite other firms to join us in this partnership and unlock the potential of global market access."

William Slack, CEO of Morrison Securities, emphasised the focus on improving client experiences. "We’ve designed a solution that integrates global market access into our domestic offering for a superior customer experience," he said. "With our combined expertise, we’re confident in delivering an efficient, scalable solution tailored to the specific needs of our clients."
Laksh Gangwani, Chief Revenue Officer for APAC and the Middle East at ViewTrade, highlighted the seamless approach to compliance and technology. “Morrison’s integrated approach to technology, compliance, and operations is enabling investors to complete KYC once, while accessing multiple markets and asset classes with ease," he said. "This will ensure Australian investors can build diversified international portfolios with ease.”
The launch marks a significant step in enhancing global opportunities for Australia's wealth management sector.
