NSW residents to receive $50 ‘stay and rediscover’ voucher
NSW residents will receive a $50 accommodation voucher to spend on accommodation anywhere in the state as the NSW government moves towards kick-starting the economy back into gear.
Premier Dominic Perrottet has announced a $500 million package to revive the events and tourism industry across the state, including the introduction of a $50 “stay and rediscover” voucher to use towards hotels, caravan parks and camping grounds.
“We know that the borders will open and we want to be ahead of the curve here in NSW when it comes to ensuring that tourism comes back with a bang,” Mr Perrottet said.
Travel is set to resume between Greater Sydney and regional NSW from 1 November, but only for those fully vaccinated.
Last week, the Premier announced a $250 million investment to help businesses reopen following months of forced closure.

This included a top-up of the existing Dine & Discover scheme, which saw NSW residents receive an extra $25 dining voucher and an extra $25 entertainment voucher.
The Dine & Discover expansion accompanied the state’s new $66 million “Alfresco Restart” package, which introduced 5,000 grants for hospitality businesses to establish new alfresco settings.
“After a long winter, it’s time for Sydney to enjoy a meal or drink in the sunshine, and the NSW government is committed to helping businesses do that in time for summer,” Minister for Digital and Customer Service Victor Dominello said at the time.
