AMP partners with Striver for Brimstone event to attract new financial advisers
AMP has announced a partnership with advice community and careers technology platform Striver for the annual Brimstone event series, scheduled to take place in Sydney next week.

The Brimstone series, now in its second year, aims to bring together university students, graduates, and individuals seeking a career change into financial planning. The event has already attracted over 400 students to date.
Matt Lawler, AMP Group Executive, Advice, said: "As a foundational partner of the Brimstone series, we welcome the opportunity to play our part in helping guide the next cohort of talented advisers and creating pathways for new entrants in advice."
Feedback from last year's Sydney event showed that more than 80% of attendees would consider advice as a career path, with 40% of participants being female.
This year marks the first time Brimstone has expanded interstate, with roadshows held in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth last month.

AMP Advice has welcomed almost 40 new-to-the-profession advisers this year and aims to increase that number fourfold. Lawler noted the increasing demand for financial advice from Australians, describing it as "an exciting career path for graduates."
Alisdair Barr, Striver CEO and Founder, commented: "We know this next generation of advisers are seeking structured pathways and clarity of opportunities which have been affected over the last few years so we are recreating those career pathways from the ground up, making advice as a career more accessible than it has been."
The partnership between AMP and Striver aims to strengthen relationships with tertiary partners and provide scholarships to aspiring financial planning professionals.
Barr added that the Brimstone events emphasize the social impact of careers in advice and their potential to make a difference to many Australian futures.
The collaboration between AMP and Striver highlights ongoing efforts to attract and nurture new talent in the financial advice sector.
