Australia’s top trade jobs revealed
While Australian tradies are hard at work, some are taking home more than others, with five categories on average taking home more than $100,000.

According to results from job site Service Seeking, nine per cent of all tradesmen are earning more than $200,000 a year.
Plumbers topped the earnings for Australian tradies, making on average $110,000 a year.
Following the plumbers were concreters, builders, flooring companies and carpenters, which rounded out the top five, all earning six figures.
For comparison, the average Australian earns almost $84,600 a year, while the median wage for Australia is just over $55,000 a year.
The survey of 629 workers also found the majority of tradies on the site own their own business, with only four per cent working for someone else.
The results also showed members on the site charge on average between $100-$500 a job, with 32 per cent of jobs falling in the cash bracket.
According to the survey, the average tradie is spending more than 10 years perfecting their craft, with 39 per cent saying they have been in the industry for a decade or longer.
Finally, the survey showed Australian tradies are confident about the future and are looking to grow their businesses exponentially this year.
The survey results showed that 46.99 per cent of respondents want to grow their income by a little this year, while 43.81 per cent are looking for massive growth in 2020.
Only 9.2 per cent of respondents are looking to keep their income the same as last year.
